How can you be sure which colors to use?Also, is there a method you use for face drawing? If so, what is this?

Charcoal powder is very messy, inefficient, and a waste of time. Finally, after numerous shading tutorials, I found an alternative method that perfectly suits me. Honestly, that geometrical method of shading really surprised me at first, but it became more logical and impressive later on. Additionally, you did mention that the grade b graphite made the subject darker than intended. However, you showed us that the contrast can be adjusted when you apply a darkened background, which ultimately highlights the skin tone. Truly impressive, sir! I learned a lot more from you in a couple minutes than from those full hour guides, which repeat the same process over and over with no detailed explanation. I recently decided to relearn and engage with art again. Thank you very much, and I hope to learn more from you!

How easy is it to pull back up? I've got another non-graphite pencil that get's very nice darks, without the reflective properties. But once it makes a mark, that's pretty much it. It's almost like working in pen.

Sir could you please share the link to this reference image, I wanna try this one. I am an absolute beginner in this medium and i am damn scared to use colored pencils. But i find your style in here is like what I draw in hyper realistic in graphite, cabon and charcoal... So i want to learn more from you and practice. Colors are daunting to me not only because of the choice of colors but because the way this medium presents itself in terms if binders and therefore their crayon like effect on paper...and if one makes it smooth the pore realism is gone... I can see you have given a tutorial on realistic skin drawing too... I waana give it a serious shot from here... Thanks so much for sharing🙏
